History
Hawaii Mud Bombers started out in Sweden 95/96 and from the beginning their plan was simple: To play fun, energetic surfy rock music! Since then, they have played all around Sweden, clubs & festivals, you name it.
Hawaii Mud Bombers have recorded all their albums in their hometown, Falun, in the middle of Sweden.

In 2002 they started to work with Wizzard-In-Vinyl in Tokyo who released Hawaii Mud Bombers Mondo Primo in 2004.

In 2005, Wizzard-In-Vinyl took the band on tour to Japan. During the tour they rocked the great cities of Osaka, Nagoya, Kanazawa and Tokyo, many great gigs, radio interviews and record signings kept the band busy like little surf bees.

Mondo Primo got great reviews and after a while it turned up at Little Stevens radio show Underground Garage in the US. He had heard it earlier, loved it and played a couple of songs on the show, Johanna Beach and Wolf n' the Lamb. Johanna Beach was then voted 5th best song of the year by the listeners of Underground Garage ( 1.000.000 listeners in the US!).
After that Little Steven put seven of the Mondo Primo songs out on Satellite radio channel Sirius (and they are still playing, folks!).

In 2006 Hawaii Mud Bombers signed a 3 year-record deal with Little Stevens label, Wicked Cool Records, and in February 2007 came their first release, Mondo Primo has now hit the United States!

Sound
A fast drum beat with sharp guitars. Energetic lead song spiced up with lots and lots of background vocals. And then, a chorus that carries you away . . . to the beach, to the sun . . . wherever you wanna be.
There you have it.

Reviews
“Mondo Primo is simply a great pop record, unafraid to be overtly commercial, but achieved with a real passion for catchy melodies, a very impressive album. For anybody who enjoys guitar pop, check out Mondo Primo as The Hawaii Mud Bombers have crafted a fine record.”
